The Smart Finger is a device that caps your thumb and forefinger (or any 2 fingers) and uses the signals relayed between the two finger points to calculate the measurement.

Protagonist-Antagonist consists of earthenware collection copied through the process of 3D-scanning and 3D-printing. These clones, the antagonists, were placed in front of the archaeological objects. Visitors could take these objects in their hands and with their fingers follow the traces drawn half a millennium ago while looking through the glass of the vitrine at the real untouchable object. The 3D-printed clones thus mediate the archaeological objects through tactile feedback.

RFID Timeline is a new way of retrieving and showing activities. This system allows one to physically interact with digital documentation. The RFID-tags give visitors a handle into a digital database. Each event is reduced to a moment in time and a number. Only when the visitor gives the archive event his attention does the richness of that past moment erupt when the machine speaks its story and beams its visions. 

A Magnetic Curtain you can shape to any form. Through the incorporated structure and magnets, it stays in the shape you push and pull it to.

Bootleg Objects

The Compass Phone asks weather mobiles are surveillance tools, digital leashes. It acts as a tether to another, using its GPS function to point you in the direction of the person you wish to be near with a compass. On the top, the amount of time it’ll take you and them to meet is displayed.

Atmo is a wearable object that senses and records environmental data. When docked to a base station, the raw data is analysed and displayed back to the user, who can understand their cummulative exposure to various pollutants and toxins over time.

The Second Skin watch is a combination of accessory, jewelry and a functional object. The time display are simple LED lights - one row for the hours and one for the minutes. The time display shows the exact time every five minutes. The LEDs light on by touching the surface display.

Design firm IDEO created a design concept for the future of self-service banking in hopes to put an end to robotic, inhuman experience of using a modern ATM. Starting from scratch, the company’s work has lead to a visually enhanced machine that is closer to human interaction.
