The Invisible Sphere contains 215 monitors and 215 cameras. Each camera is opposite to the monitor it feeds.  The sphere constantly recreates its surroundings on its monitors from every conceivable angle at all times.  The sphere is reflection of media’s attempt to remain revealing as it grows in power and becomes increasingly omni present.

With Invisible TV all the screens in the sculptures have an associated camera on the other side of the object. When the viewer looks into a screen they see directly through to the other side.

IkebanaMedulla is inhabited, like a spring of water – a trickle that seems to be immobile but which comes to life when we approach it. With its inwardness and strange beauty, this Medusa-like vase is between animal and machine, like a mechanical spider out of Matrix. A new step in the composition of domestic interior landscape.

Incentive is a work in which both the light and shadows weave themselves into each other’s history. It is meant as an image that binds different cultures together and thus operates in a place between rural and urban areas inside and out between culture and nature and it is incentives to discover the origins of light.

In The Messenger, email messages are displayed letter by letter on three alphabetic telegraph receivers: a large array of 26 talking washbasins, each intoning a letter of the alphabet in Spanish; a chorus line of 26 dancing skeletons and a series of 26 electrolytic jars with metal electrodes in the form of the letters A to Z that oscillate and bubble when electricity is passed through them.

Time Out of Place

“The Kings Cross area in London is rapidly transforming, creating a city in flux. Semiconductor have captured this moment in human history by documenting the day to day happenings in a short moving image work. The linear nature of time makes us have a very fixed experience of it; constantly stuck in the present.”
