Gesture-Based Interface Gloves are a low cost solution for gesture-based computer interfaces. The gloves are tracked with an ordinary webcam that can easily differentiate the colours on the gloves. Instead of digital gloves or attachments, the simple colours provide enough contrast to track.

Slurp is tangible interface for manipulating abstract digital information as if it were water. Taking the form of an eyedropper, Slurp can extract (slurp up) and inject (squirt out) pointers to digital objects.

What would it be like to reach into a screen and manipulate virtual objects as in the real world. Beyond is a novel collapsible input device for direct 3D manipulation. When pressed against a screen, Beyond collapses in the physical world and extends into the digital space of the screen, such that users can have an illusion that they are inserting the tool into the virtual space.
Intelux is is transparency-adjustable structure for energy saving. It is is a construction material designed to control the amount of light. Through actuation, a microstructure material can exhibit both diffusion and transparency. They used polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), glass, and polycarbonate materials and air pressure and microfluidic actuation, lasercut etching to create prototypes, and evaluated its cooling and light-diffusing effects.
