Olars is an electronic interactive toy inspired by Karl Sims evolved virtual creatures. Having thousands of varieties in movement and behaviour by attaching different geometrical limbs, modifying the angle of these, twisting the body itself, and by adjusting the deflection of the motorised joints, results in both familiar and strange motion patterns.

Daily Stack is time management tool that allows users to help track their work flow by creating physical representations of their tasks. The design consists of a small base and a series of wood blocks that each have a different colourand shape. Each colour represents a different task and the time interval is determined by the size of theblock.

TimeTable helps better manage meetings by elegantly and unobtrusively showing the passing of time. Ten illuminated light panels appear in the surface of the table, each panel representing a tenth of the meeting time. As the time passes, panels are switched off and a sound effect is played.

Ping is a garment that connects to your Facebook account wirelessly and from anywhere. It allows you to stay connected to your friends and groups of friends simply by performing natural gestures that are built into the mechanics of the garment. Lift up a hood, tie a bow, zip, button, and simply move, bend and swing to ping your friends naturally and automatically.

Digital media doesn’t just happen on computer screens any more. Many times the best way to solve a problem is to embed digital interfaces in everyday objects like furniture, architecture and clothing. DIY Soft Electronics explores a range of techniques for making soft electronic circuits.
